Ms. Rashmi Merchant is a teacher by profession who has done her M.Sc. in Total Quality Management. She has also got her B.Ed. degree and is currently working in a reputed school in Mumbai. To further her career, she was looking for a course that would enable her to hone her teaching skills as well as let her teach abroad, if she had plans to move out of the country anytime soon.Hence, as she enrolled in TEFL online program at Asian College of Teachers (ACT) and found it to be quite informative and detailed. She also attended ACT’s TEFL workshops before starting with her course and found it to be quite helpful as she got a clear idea of how to approach the subjects discussed in the course as well as what all was expected when it came to submitting the assignments. She also found ACT’s LMS to be quite user-friendly as the instructions given there for submitting the assignments was clear. She is all praises for her coordinator whom she found to be helpful who was there for her whenever she needed any help regarding her assignments.
Overall, she is very satisfied with the course and the guidance that she received from ACT. She believes that she learnt new interactive teaching approaches and techniques along with innovative classroom management strategies which can be applied for any subject and not just language. She found them to be quite useful as it helped her in conducting classes in a better way with better outputs as she applied her newly- acquired knowledge in her classroom.
